Welcome to the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Society!

The Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Society (HGPS) is a collective of individuals who have an interest in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

HGPS is organized to:

Enhance the development of mental health practitioners, by providing:

• High value professional development
• A forum for exchanging ideas
• A social network
• Stimulating education in psychoanalytic/psychodynamic practice

Preserve and promote psychoanalytic thinking in society, by providing:

• Cross discipline (arts, professions, etc.) applications
• Awareness of cultural issues from a psychoanalytic perspective
